From the M6 Going North Exit at Junction 36
Turn left to Kendal onto dual carriageway
Go 3 miles take exit slip road onto A590 signposted South Lakes & Barrow
Go 5 miles till you get to a roundabout. Take second exit up a long hill (still dual carriageway)
Ignore first left to Lindale, take second left to Cartmel down a slip road turning left at the bottom signposted Cartmel
Follow small country lane to a crossroads.
Turn left
Follow lane to a T junction
Turn left to Cartmel
Pass Cartmel staying on the same road.
After another 1.5 miles you enter Cark in Cartmel, continue until the road ends at a T junction.
Look right at the house on the corner of the junction. That’s Old Bank House
